Where Can I Apply My Magnetic Playwall?
Our Magnetic Wall Decal is designed for indoor use and performs best on clean, dry and smooth surfaces such as painted walls, glass, mirrors and doors.
As wall surfaces and paint finishes can vary, we recommend checking that your chosen surface is suitable before applying.
For the best application:
- Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust
- Allow freshly painted walls to fully cure before installation
- Apply slowly and press firmly across the entire decal for secure adhesion
- Follow the installation instructions provided
Good to know:
- Some specialty, stain-resistant or low-VOC paint finishes may affect adhesion
- The decal can be carefully removed and repositioned, but it is not designed for frequent removal and reapplication
- Repeated repositioning may reduce adhesion over time
- Removal results can vary depending on the condition, age and quality of the wall and paint
- Product colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device settings
Check our wall compatibility & installations instructions for more information.

Step 2: Peel & Apply
Peel back a small section of the backing and position your Playwall. Slowly remove the remaining backing while smoothing the decal onto the wall as you go.
Step 3: Smooth
Use the included scraper to press firmly across the surface, smoothing out any air bubbles and helping the Playwall adhere evenly.

The paywall was easy to apply, it looks great and the magnetic work well on it, I just wish the alphabet magnets had better associated pictures on the capital letters as some are difficult to identify or read
Hi Meg, thanks for your kind words! We're glad you find the playwall easy to apply and that the magnets work well. We'll take your feedback about the alphabet magnets into consideration to improve the pictures. Thanks for sharing!
This has been a wonderful addition to our playroom! High quality & so easy to install.
Very good service fast to respond and my kids love it!🥰
My daughter absolutely loves this wall decal and all the magnet sets. I just went all in and got all the magnet sets and the wall straight up. My daughter is in Pre-K so she’s just learning to read and she loves numbers and trying to do sums. It’s super easy to install and is up quickly. The wall and different magnet options keep her busy for ages. Such an awesome product! I love the choice of colours and the fact you could also get a freestanding wall is a great idea! I can’t wait for my 5 month old to be old enough to play on it too.
Brought it for my daughters 1st birthday and she has started really getting into it. We have cheap magnet tiles and they still stick pretty well. I also brought magnet photo frames from Kmart and put in photos of family and she loves that.
Our almost 3 year old daughter loves her new magnet wall. She loves the dress up dolls and it’s a great way to keep her entertained while we are making dinner!
The colour is great and looks great in our house.
Amazing my granddaughter loves it
We are very happy with the magentic decal and the different magnet pieces. My toddler is having great fun scribbling, playing with the numbers, letters, and fruits, animals. It keeps him and his little friends occupied.
I purchased 2 of these and gifted them to 2 of my grandchildren, and so far they have been a hit.
Absolutely love our Magnetic wall decal! My 2 year old has been playing with it so much, highly recommend!!
Ordered this playwall to use as a magnetic noticeboard to try & keep all our 'important' letters & craft from school in one place.
Super quick delivery, easy installation & very user friendly for kids sticking up magnets (any magnet seems to work a treat) & adjusting the papers layout.
Would recommend.
I bought this for my 1 year old and he loves sticking the alphabet magnets onto the board. It was really easy to stick to the wall and definitely renter friendly.
This is adorable, Dana. I'm so happy to see your little ones having the best time with our magnets!
We introduced the SmartyPals PlayWall into our kindergarten room and it quickly became one of the most popular learning spaces. The children are naturally drawn to it and love engaging with the magnet sets throughout the day. It's been a wonderful way to encourage independent play, creativity and early learning while keeping our classroom organised and clutter-free.
The best purchase ive done in a long time!
Got this for my kindy and honeslty - it as the best investment. Such a nice addition - kids love it.
My grandson loved it from the moment he saw it , everyt8me he comes in it’s straight to the magnet wall ! The magnets are soft yet strong! Definitely ordering another one for his home
We previously tried another magnetic wall decal brand and honestly it was so bad we've returned it. They never responded to our messages, and the decal started curling at the bottom. We even tried using removable tape to fix it, but it didn’t hold. I went ahead and purchased from Smartypals since reading all reviews and the customer service was 10/10 and the quality is like nothing like the other Brand Magplay! I could not be happier with my purchase - and truly in love with the decal.
As a teacher, this Playwall has been a game changer in my classroom. The kids are engaged, focused, and love using it every day.
Great product, amazing quality and easy to install. Customer service was instant and great.
I was looking for a wall decal to decorate my daughter’s new play space and came across this. It’s fantastic. It adds a lovely pop of colour to her room, and the fact that it’s magnetic makes it even better. She can hang pictures on it or use her magnetic alphabet and tiles, which she loves. It was a great price and really easy to apply. I’m so happy with it. 😊
Superfast delivery, and was the perfect touch for my sons 2 birthday.
Love this so much! love it.
